Back in Oregon; more concerts forthwith

Well, I’m back in Oregon and settled after the UK concert dates. It was really good to catch up with old friends and, especially, to see a full performance of the Ring Cycle at the Royal Opera House while I was there. Very special memories!

I arrived back a bit before midnight on October 16th and was right back into my concert life here, jet lag notwithstanding. Since my return, I’ve had two concerts with soprano Zoe Laterreur, two concerts as a tenor with the Southern Oregon Repertory Singers, gotten sick, recovered, and am preparing now for my Alaska debut, courtesy of the Juneau Piano Series!

I’m pleased to perform some of my own works there next Friday, in addition to some old favorites. Also on the program are two lesser-performed composers, the British composer Cyril Scott, and the American composer Amy Beach. I’m looking forward to my first American trip outside the 48!

Later this month, I’ll have two concerts in Oregon with Laurens, as we continue our duo tour – but more on that once I’ve survived the Alaskan winter.
